Super Llama: Llamas are awesome! (35)
My Bio
I am just a work from home "dog mom" as some people like to call it. My life and my husband's practically revolve around the three monsters we call dogs. Dude is a 10 year old (Nov. 8, 2003), tricolor, Smooth Collie. Buck is a 2.5 year old (March 31, 2011 Bluetick Coonhound. Iorveth, my baby, is a 1 year old (Nov. 17, 2012), black, hairless Standard Xoloitzcuintli (formerly known as the Mexican hairless).

I love my other two very much but Iorveth is my heart dog and, even though he is 57+ lbs, he insists that he belongs in my lap.

My dogs are actually what may be kickstarting one or more "careers". I make paracord collars and my boys all have several in various colors. I am still working out the kinks but, so far, my collars have endured a lot and Buck is a puller when excited so he is great proof of their sturdiness. He can be a 72 lb freight train when he sees something interesting. Another is becoming more involved int he dog world. Buck and Iorveth are very challenging dogs and have taught me so much about training and developing different styles for different dogs. As long as there is NO harshness whatsoever, Dude really is your typical, cookie cutter training program type of herder. Almost anything will work with him because he is so eager to please. The other two march to their own drums so they have been much more complex. Hopefully, they, along with future dogs, will provide me with the experience I need to start working with the dogs of others. So, as you can see, my life really does revolve around my dogs.

I like to draw and I like to write but I am very secretive about sharing so I don't actually have anything uploaded. I have recently become acquaintances with someone else on DA that almost has me convinced to upload something. She even convinced me to show her one of my drawings. SO maybe, just maybe, it will be uploaded soon.

My specialty lies in horses and hooved animals. Lately, I have been trying to expand my skills to carnivores like dogs, cats (big and small), etc. I find them difficult because of their more mobile faces. It is much easier for me to capture the facial expressions of a horse because their faces don't have as wide a range of movement. Hooved animals are, in general, more rigid than other animals and are more consistent in their body positions. I have just recently started attempting people, although, so far, I have only drawn one person three times, my Xolo's namesake, Iorveth, the elf from The Witcher 2.

I just doodle in my spare time and all of my drawings are done with a mechanical pencil and whatever eraser I can find. I prefer the Pink Pearl erasers. If it has color then it will be with colored pencils. Whatever I've got in the house. I get confused with all of the different pencils out there and don't even get me started on digital art... I may be part of the technologically savvy generation and have an aerospace engineer for a father but I definitely inherited my mother's understanding of technology... It took her YEARS to figure out emailing and texting.

New Camera!

0 min read
Our camera, a terrible little touch screen, is about to be replaced! Quite a while back, it ended up with a scratch on the lens which made taking pictures very frustrating and, shortly after, the touch screen just completely quit on us. As a result, we have had a huge gap in our photo timeline. It was also no good for taking pictures of any of my art so I might actually start uploading pictures to DA. Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner and my computer skills are embarrassing so taking a picture of my art and uploading that is the best way to go for me for now. My husband's mom bought him a nice camera for his birthday and it's much nicer

Have you seen the new Hearts of Stone teaser? It's on facebook. No sighn of Scoia'tael. And to be honest, i'm quite afraid to see Iorveth in the game. All elves are old, ugly, wrinkled.... just imagine seeing Iorveth like that :-( funny that they look so good on the gwent cards and so horrible in real. When i think of this, the best looking man in TW1 was Geralt, in TW2 the pirate, in TW3 ???,... maybe the leshen? :-) but you will get real paper Scoia'tael and monster cards with the expansion. Seems they want to make us shut up :-(
Judging by the time this was posted, I think I had JUST watched it. I get emails. Hahaha. If I am remembering right, we've already seen the guy in the trailer in the actual game. In White Orchard. I'm interested. I like that these two stories are more interwoven that a lot of expansion material for other games.

I have been nervous about Iorveth being in the game since I saw Roche... In TW2, Roche was a normal looking person, but in TW3, he still looks like Roche enough to tell it's him even without the clothes, but they scrunched up his face and it just looks strange. He's really the only one who looks different in a bad way, in my opinion. Just about everyone else either looks the same or different, but very slightly or different, but improved. I don't know how I feel about Zoltan or Dandelion's new faces, but they aren't bad, I suppose. Dandelion just looks very different.

I'll admit that I'm hoping the issue they seem to have with putting Iorveth in the game is that they don't want to overuse him because they have future plans for him. It would make sense to not overuse a character and risk everyone becoming tired of them if you plan to use them more in the future. I would absolutely love for Iorveth to have his own game. Out of all of the characters in these games, I think his story would be a fun one to play through. There is so much they could do with him since they (mostly) made him up and we know so little about the century+ he's been alive. We know he was in the war and we know that he was betrayed by his own kind like the rest of the Scoia'tael were, but we don't really know a whole lot more than that.
Before my computer went into thevbox, i started the newgame+ in the first play through as i went to the Scoia'tael camp. I heard the line that Iorveth was dead at least ten times. In the second playing, i reloaded at least 20 times and they didn't say it at all. I pushed them to the fire place so that they talk together. They repeated many times: "have you heard the newest rumors about Iorveth? He was spotted in Novigrad. If it's so so what are we doing here? Please don't tellthem that (the last thing was elvish, what i think i understood) is it just in my game so or have they taken the line out of the game with a patch? If yes, that would be cool. That would mean they want people believe he might appear inNovigrad. ;-)
Do you mean you started the one where you can start a new game with all your gear and exp from the previous play through? I haven't done that yet. I had started a second play through, but I made the decision to put TW3 away until the first expansion comes out in a couple of weeks. I want to play with the new content without having played through multiple times and discovered everything.

I'll have to go sit at the camp and see what they say on my game when I play it again. It's really interesting that they're saying something else now that coincides with what you said about the original plan for him to be in Novigrad. I've also avoided looking up a whole lot about the game since it's come out so that I can discover all these things myself so I don't know if anything has been said about him being in the expansions lately.

Something for you ;-) don't kill me for these deadly sins. I just couldn't resist :D ur-shak.deviantart.com/art/Ior…

;-)
The one where his face is undamaged is really fascinating. I've seen other attempts to "reconstruct" his face, but they always end up looking funny. That one is really good.

I wish I was more tech savvy. My dad is an engineer... Go figure. I'd love to be able to mod games.
And quite boring I think. The pirate look does it! ;-)
